There are a lot of unknowns in the redistricting process, but one key detail that Virginians have been provided is that the data needed for redistricting will be delivered in mid-August. (Check the Redistricting Commission’s meeting video on the matter here.) This release of data is referred to as “legacy format summary redistricting data,” simply meaning it is the correct data but in a format that is considered more raw and less organized than the data we will receive in September.
