The Census Bureau delivered the highly-anticipated apportionment data on Monday and while this data cannot be used to create maps directly, it does confirm which states are losing or gaining Congressional districts. Virginia is keeping its current 11 Congressional seats but these seats will presumably evolve in shape due to population changes across the Commonwealth. This is greatly impacted by the increase in population in the northern Virginia counties which have seen a faster growth rate than the national average. Read more here.
