According to the Associated Press, states may be able to receive the needed redistricting data in August – a month earlier than recently forecast. This announcement comes after multiple reported delays in the delivery of census-based redistricting data. However, the August release could create additional headaches as this data would need to be released in “an older data format that may be difficult for some states to work with since they require extra steps to be taken to make them usable.” You can read more about this update here.
