What is your work focused on?
Creating intentional collaborations between BIPOC individuals and organizations that share social justice focused values. Using these collaborations to benefit communities of color in Richmond.

How long have you been doing this work? And what motivated you to do this work?
I think I have always done this work informally. The creation of The Collab Spot simply allows me to carry out that work on a larger scale. I am motivated by the belief that BIPOC folks deserve safe spaces that enable them to live into who they are, completely. We should never have to choose which pieces of our identities we highlight or suppress.

What is your theme song?

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would it be and why?
I would trade places with someone who can delete everyone’s student loan records LOL!

What is the most exciting thing you have worked on or work you are most proud of?
I have been blessed to be a part of so many exciting projects, and work with many fantastic organizers across the state. Right now, I am most proud of the way our TCS team is coming together to challenge the status quo in Richmond. We believe that an organization can be unapologetically centered on the needs of Black community and maintain the integrity of our values.
