What is your work focused on?
I am currently wearing many hats. I am an organizer and an advocate at heart, and my work focuses on building political power and generational wealth while striving to change the worldview. I am a Regional Field Director for New Virginia Majority along with being the facilitator for the governing body of the VA SVDV Action Alliance, and starting my own B&B in Portsmouth, VA.

How long have you been doing this work? And what motivated you to do this work?
I have been doing this work since 2014, and my motivation is creating the change my children need because the work will continue long after I become an ancestor and I would like the load to be lighter for them.

What is your theme song today?

Describe your dream holiday if money was no limit?
My dream holiday would be to take my mom and my children to all the places that showed up on my ancestry DNA test!

What is the most exciting thing you have worked on or work you are most proud of?
Currently my two most exciting things are that I have successfully raised one child to adulthood and she is making her own way in this world, and that I have created a start-up (The Black Swann Company LLC) and this venture will increase the generational wealth for my family!

How has VAPLP impacted your leadership journey?
VAPLP (Tierra and Sutisha) have been instrumental in me not only realizing my purpose but also in having the courage to jump into the deep end knowing that the community they helped me to build are not only cheering for me, they are in the pool too!
